ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut.
We lived on a mountain, just downhill from the local dump
where we often played in a stream that changed colors daily.
Back then, most of our “pets” ended up on the dinner plate.
With my father slaughtering anything and everything…
I got used to seeing blood and guts on a daily basis.
It’s no wonder I got into horror movies at an early age.
Knowing that I had an affinity for all things gruesome,
my father would call me out to the living room
to watch in depth surgeries on tv. I’m sure he was
hoping he’d be sending me off to medical school…
… but I went to art school instead.
I graduated from Montserrat College of Art in 1998
and continue to live and work on the North Shore to this day.
There’s no better place for a ghoul like me than Salem, Massachusetts
aka The Witch City or the “Halloween Capitol of the World”!
My favorite subjects to paint always seem to be horror
and Halloween related.
With an artistic eye it’s easy to find beauty in the macabre.
